The Taste of Chicago

The Taste of Chicago is the largest food festival in the world, held in Grant Park, Chicago. Annually held in mid-July, this festival offers not only food related events, but other entertainment such as live music on multiple stages, film performances and rides.

The Taste of Chicago goes on for five days with more than 36 participating restaurants. Musical acts vary from local artists to nationally known artists as seen in the past years such as Robin Thicke, Estelle, and Jennifer Hudson.

The Chicago Blues Festival

This is the largest free blues festival in the world and remains the largest of Chicago's Music Festivals. Held for 3 days on 5 stages, this festival will be held from June 13-15, 2014 at Grant Park.

Artists expected during the 2014 festival include the Siegal-Schwall Blues Band with bassist Rolo Radford and drummer Sam Lay, Marcella Detroit, Bettye LaVette, Aaron Neville, Nikki Hill and more.

Leading up to the Chicago Blues Festival, May is “Blues Month” in Chicago featuring a number of preview performances at various Chicago Park District and Chicago Public Library locations throughout the city. So, don’t forget to ask your party bus driver to head over to catch performances for free!

The Chicago Gospel Music Festival

The Chicago Gospel Music Festival showcases the best in local, national and international Gospel Music performers. The 2014 festival will be held at Chicago Cultural Center, Ellis Park from June 27-29 2014.

This year, Wendy Raquel A.K.A Tasha Mack from "The Game" Shines as host of the 15th Annual Allstate Gospel Superfest, while appearances from Mary Mary, Tye Tribbett, Ben Tankard, James Fortune, JJ Hairston, Chicago Mass, Malcolm Williams are expected to appear at Allstate Gospel Superfest in Chicago.
